Important Notes:
- A group topic is a subject for discussion or voting for a group, and is more formal than the creation of a meeting-only topic which is considered a one-time meeting discussion point, such as 'introductions' or 'reading of previous minutes'.
Main Information Objects:
A topic is a subject for contemplation for a group and is related to several other information objects including meeting agendas and minutes, votes, and comments.

Topic
A group topic represents the foundational mechanism for how 'things' are contemplated and addressed by a group. Topics have certain fields and statuses including:
- A type of 'Informational' or 'Decisional' which determines whether a topic may be voted on or exists merely for discussion.
- A status of 'Open' or 'Closed' depending on whether the group needs to continue to contemplate something or if discussion and/or voting is no longer required.
- Ownership of a topic may be assigned to a specific group member.
Meeting Agendas
Open topics can be added to one or more meeting agendas and assigned a specific amount of time for discussion. Additional information related to meetings can be accessed here.
Meeting Minutes
A group chair can capture and categorize meeting minutes by topic, enabling minutes to be accessed and referenced from a topic's page. Additional information related to meetings can be accessed here.
Votes
Decisional topics may be voted on for approval or denial by group members granted the rights to do so. Topics may have votes for or against them as well as formal 'abstain' votes from members.
Comments
A topic may be commented on by members and each comment is recorded and maintained on a topic's page. Additionally a commenter may mark a comment with a 'response requested' to notify the topic owner that additional information may need to be added to the topic or in the comments to support further contemplation or voting.
